I have an unpopular opinion about the discovery set by Fakoshima.
It’s a creative duo from Russia, consisting of a visionary and a perfumer. I’ve heard nothing but praise about the brand from all the Russian bloggers I follow. That’s why I’ve been anticipating getting my hands on a discovery set and experiencing these miraculous scents by myself. Not even the fact that almost every composition contains animalic notes, absinthe, cumin, or anise, which I’m not particularly fond of, scared me off.
I knew that such fragrances had to be worn on the skin. And then… I could hardly wait to wash them off.
Aqua Gotica promises sea water, oysters, smoke, salt, and gin. Exactly what I smelled in the Duomo and other Catholic churches. Then it becomes more acidic and salty.
Creme de la Creme – it has tuberose with absinthe, sugar, apricot peel, cocoa… and animalic notes. It smells like coffee or a dense cocktail, drunk in the same church I felt in Aqua Gotica.
Moonlight Rainbow has a very rich pyramid. The iris here is powdery, smells like carrot. It also has pear, musk, vetiver, and some greener notes. The only wearable one for me.
Superior Morion – it starts with the note of cognac and spices, but on the skin it gives off an animalic aspect and a smell of sweaty body.
El Primer Deseo – lots of citrus, and elderflowers, which turn into a dense base with leather, caramel, sandalwood, and black pepper. It’s a very intense, dark scent.
Tear you apart and Tear you apart extrait are woody, oriental, sweet. But it’s the sweet note that could make me sick.
Have I tested anything similar before? No.
All the scents seem so authentic to me, that I couldn’t compare them to anything I’ve tried before.
Would I buy any full-size bottles? No.
Do I know anyone who could confidently wear any scent from this set? Still no.
I think I’ll stick to my gourmand fragrances.
Am o părere nepopulară despre discovery set-ul de la Fakoshima.
Este un duet creativ din Rusia, format dintr-un vizionar și un parfumier. Despre brand am tot auzit de bine de la toți bloggerii ruși pe care îi urmăresc.
De asta am tot așteptat când o să pot să pun mâna pe un discovery set și să descopăr și eu aromele miraculoase. Nu m-a speriat nici faptul că aproape fiecare compoziție are note animalice, absinth, cumin sau anason pe care eu nu le prea iubesc.
Știam că așa arome trebuie purtate pe piele. Iar apoi… abia așteptam să le spăl.
Aqua Gotica promite apă de mare, stridii, fum, sare și gin. Exact așa miros simțeam în Duomo și alte biserici catolice. Apoi devine mai acru și mai sărat.
Creme de la Creme – are tuberoze cu abinth, zahăr și coajă de caise, cacao… și note animalice. Îmi miroase a cafea sau cocktail dens, băut în aceeași biserică pe care am simțit-o în Aqua Gotica.
Moonlight Rainbow are o piramidă foarte bogată. Irisul aici este pudrat, miroase a morcov. Mai are pară, mosc, vetiver, sunt și ceva note mai verzi. Unicul purtabil pentru mine.
Superior Morion – startează cu nota de coniac și condimente, dar pe piele dă un aspect animalic și miros de corp transpirat.
El Primer Deseo – multe citrice, flori de soc, care pleacă într-o bază densă cu piele, caramel, santal, piper negru. E o aromă foarte intensă, întunecată.
Tear you apart și Tear you apart extrait lemnos, oriental, dulce. Dar e nota cea dulce, de la care mi-ar putea fi rău.
Am mai testat ceva asemănător? Nu.
Toate aromele îmi par așa de autentice, nu le-aș putea compara cu ceva deja testat.
Aș cumpăra vreun full-size? Nu.
Cunosc vreun om care ar putea să poarte dezinvolt vreo aromă din acest set. Tot nu.
Cred că mă întorc la aromele mele gurmande.
